A Typical Event
A full day to
encompass four central activities: a helicopter
hover-challenge, London sightseeing by helicopter, aeroplane
hands-on flight and a flight into Heathrow Airport in a flight
simulator.
Helicopter Hover Challenge
Following a group briefing, the helicopter hover-challenge is
a 15-minute flight where each student handles the controls and
tries to remain in the hover. It is a very tricky manoeuvre
and great fun trying to keep the helicopter steady.
Helicopter City of London Sightseeing
Sit back, relax and enjoy the view with an hour’s flight along
the line of the River Thames. Fly to the Millennium Dome and
back with views of Kew Gardens, St Paul’s the Cutty Sark,
Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye to
name just a few.
Aeroplane
Flying Lesson
After a group briefing, a hands-on 20-minute flight over the
beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Try flying straight and
level, climbing and descending, then return to the airfield
for the approach and landing.
Flight
Simulator
A 15-minute flight where each student is given the opportunity
to fly into and land at Heathrow Airport. Sorry, you cannot
pick up duty free goods.
Lunch
The airfield has
a new restaurant, opened in Summer 2004, ‘The Clubhouse’
offers superb facilities - a private function room, outdoor
picnic-style tables, waitress service and great views. It’s
somewhere to relax and watch the general goings-on at the
airfield whilst enjoying a hot or cold buffet. There are
plenty of choices with regards to the lunch we can provide for
your team.
