Flights and Lessons
Our glider flights and lessons are
ideal introductions to the world of aviation.
The trial lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing
with our instructor who will explain all aspects of the
flight including the effects of controls and how a
glider flies. The student will then be allowed to take
the controls and actually fly the aircraft!
A trial lesson will give an insight into the thrills of
flying and you will receive a certificate signed by our
instructor.
A truly fabulous gift for anyone of any age and also a
perfect introduction to flying for those who have always
wanted to try flying a glider.

My flight
was a winch launch. The instructor told me what to
expect but the acceleration and adrenalin was a pure
rush. It must be what a fighter pilot feels when taking
off from an aircraft carrier. Anyway, after the cable
let us go I was weightless and it’s such a fantastic
feeling of freedom. The instructor let me take controls
and told me where to fly to keep in the thermals – would
you believe it’s possible to fly hundreds of miles like
this? We went round in circles staying in the thermal
and suddenly we were at 2000’.
It’s a truly fabulous experience and I wish I’d never
come back down!
