AA290 90 Min Aeroplane Trial Lesson with Navigation £195.00

THE EXPERIENCE

Our Aeroplane Trial Lessons allow you to experience the thrill of flying and will even count as the first step towards your Private Pilot's Licence. The trial lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with our instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight including the effects of controls and how an aeroplane flies. The student will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the aircraft! A trial lesson will give an insight into the thrills of flying and you will receive a certificate signed by our instructor. A truly fabulous gift for anyone of any age and also a perfect introduction to flying for those who have always wanted to try flying an aeroplane.

A 90min flight gives the student an opportunity to relax and get used to the environment. Ideal for the serious student, on an extended first flight there is more time to learn the basics, monitor instruments and handle the controls. Whilst on the flight the instructor and student can fly a good distance away from the airfield, enabling the student to take in the area in which he or she lives.

FREE ! Pilot Notes
With every voucher we are sending a student notes booklet, which give an insight into the basic aircraft handling techniques, photo of a typical cockpit, log book extract, etc. It's a fabulous way to enhance your gift and make it even more special.

Beverley Airfield (North Yorkshire)
Your instructor may ask you to head over towards Leeds and the North Yorkshire Moors. You will undoubtedly see the Humber Bridge, estuary and coastline.

Bodmin (Cornwall)
The North Cornish coast is stunning and you will undoubtedly see it whilst taking your flight. If you live locally to Bodmin, you will want to see King Airthur's castle from the air.

Bournemouth International Airport (Dorset, Hampshire)
From Bournemouth you will immediately come across the coastline, Selsey Bill, the town of Bournemouth and neighbouring villages. If you fly to the East you will be able to overfly Portsmouth Harbour and see the Isle of Wight to the South. You should also fly to the North over the Downs and see the fine English countryside. Obviously the coastline is an impressive navigational tool and you should have no trouble finding your way back to the airport.

Coventry (West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire)
You can fly over towards Leicester or down towards Warwick. Kenilworth Castle and the Ricoh Stadium are near Coventry, but you will be too busy flying the aeroplane to notice - perhaps you will see them on your way back!

Cranfield (Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire
Keeping clear of Luton Air Traffic Control Zone, you can fly North towards Northampton or over to Oxford. When flying back to the airfield, look out for the snow dome which is a great landmark for navigation.

Doncaster Robin Hood Airport (Peak District, South Yorkshire)
The Peak District is one of England's beautiful National Parks. Throughout your flight, you are likely to come across major cities to villages, lakes, rivers, extensive farmland and landmarks such as Chatsworth House. The sprawling countryside is a marvellous sight from the air.

Inverness Airport (Scottish Highlands)
The coastline, ragged hills and valleys are an additional highlight to your flight. You may towards Loch Ness or to the north around the coastline.

Turweston Aerodrome (Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire)
You can fly out to the West towards Gloucester and the Cotswolds and Oxford. Didcot power station is an excellent navigational landmark as you can see it from miles away. On departure and landing, Silverstone race track can easily be seen.

Wolverhampton, Halfpenny Green Airport (West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire)
Whilst handling the aircraft you will see the Severn Valley with stunning vistas across the Wyre Forest and Shropshire Plain.
