Falconry Experiences

Adventure 001 hosts a wide range of fun packed and exciting activities including Falconry experiences. Falconry or hawking is the sport of the hunting of wild quarry in its natural state and habitat by means of a trained bird of prey. We operate these encounters at a number of locations across the country including Buxton, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Stratford, Herefordshire, Essex and Scotland.

Our dedicated falconers are extremely professional and fully trained boasting a true passion for their raptors, this truly shines through during the displays where you will discover first-hand what makes these birds masters of the skies. The Falconry experience lasts approximately 3 hours with a chance to get up close and personal with our feathered friends and ask any questions you may have to our knowledgeable falconers. There are a variety of different types of birds of prey including Kestrel, Peregrine Falcons, European Eagle Owls, Barn Owls and Harris Hawks. Our aim is to teach people about these amazing creatures and to provide an insight into their natural habitat as well as how they are trained. To witness these incredible birds of prey soar through the sky is a truly breath-taking experience, we are excited to share.

Our participants are able to put the glove on, in complete safety and watch first-hand how fast the birds can fly and how amazingly intelligent they really are. You will marvel as you watch the falconer communicate with their birds. This is a great day out experience for families, groups, couples or even for individuals who are interested in these incredible species.
