16 Mile Diesel Train Driving Experience

The Experience

Enjoy a 1:1 Type 4 Diesel Locomotive driving experience that offers a unique and immersive opportunity to take control of a powerful locomotive.

Your session begins with a warm welcome, an introduction, and a comprehensive safety briefing.

Operating on an EXCLUSIVE basis, you’ll have the full attention of a dedicated train driving instructor throughout the experience.

You’ll start with a familiarisation session to get to know the locomotive, including how it works and how to operate its controls.

Once confident, you’ll drive the locomotive—running as a ‘light engine’ without carriages—on a scenic 16-mile round trip to Princes Risborough Station and back. Guided every step of the way by your experienced instructor, this unforgettable session lasts approximately two hours.
